Minutes of the eighteenth HoMBC General Meeting
Held at the Walton Building on Providence Road at Elm Street, Columbia, at 7:00 p.m.

Meeting came to order at 7:05 p.m.

July minutes read. Approval motion by Renee Graham/Marta Ferguson
passed unanimously.

July finances read. Approval motion by David Drum/George Thomas passed
unanimously.
Beginning balance June 28, 2002 1,275.80
Deposit July 9, 2002 45.00 (two membership dues)
Balance July 31, 2002 1,320.80

Kathy Nichols reported that she has not received any receipts for
expenditures for the Show-Me State Games party hosted by the club.
Please submit receipts as soon as possible.

Renee Graham reported that she has been in contact with Mary Posner.
Mary appreciates the club's efforts to advertise her property as a Red
Zone and is impressed by the club emphasis of safety in the mission.
There is no possibility of her property being delisted as a Red Zone.

David Drum reported that the club logo embroidery is close to being
finalized and passed around the penultimate version of the embroidery
from Embroider-It. Marta Ferguson reported that both Embroider-It and
Missouri Cotton Exchange will have the logo on file.

David Drum passed around a first
draft of artwork and text for a balloon club card. The artwork is
lacking balloons launching and in flight on the envelope. Please send
comments about the artwork and the text to him.

Tim Graham read a letter of appreciation from Janie Thomas, recognizing
the club's efforts at the Show-Me State Games party Saturday night.

Gary Sines announced The Market Place Balloon Classic event August 23-25.

A discussion of the legal status of waivers signed by parents on behalf
of minors ensued. A discussion of waivers in general ensued.

David Drum reported that Columbia Entertainment Company is producing
The Wizard of Oz and is interested in having a pilot tether as a show
promotion and may be looking for a wicker basket as a stage prop.
Gary Sines indicated he may have a basket.

Gary Sines reported that Balloonstormers is now located at the end of
I-70 Drive NW, turn right near the end, find the grey building in the
middle of the sod farm.
