Heart of Missouri Balloon Club General Meeting, June 10, 2002

Minutes of the sixteenth HoMBC General Meeting
Held at the Lion Eye Institute at 404 Portland Ave., Columbia, at 7:00 p.m.
  1. Meeting called to order at 7:03 p.m.
  2. Minutes from May meeting read. Motion to approve by T. Graham/H. Heriford. Approved unanimously.
  3. Treasurer's report: no activity. Balance $1,230.80
  4. Old Business
    1. Logo Apparel - Marta Ferguson
      1. Both embroidery vendors will accept a digitized logo as long as it is in a format that they can read.
      2. Marta has not been able to reach Sue Boeckman about digitizing the logo; Boeckman's are on vacation.

    2. Show-me State Games Cookout July meeting is the Monday before the cookout. Hopefully 20 pilots and crew. Burgers, buns, paper products, tableware, drinks.
    3. Club Sanction Competition Director (Norah), Scoring Officer, Safety Officer mandatory. Other optional positions. D. Drum made a motion to have Exec. Comm. and Norah prepare club sanction form. Seconded by Ellen Sutter. Approved unanimously.
    4. Safety Seminar HoMBC can either sponsor a speaker at the GAA safety seminar or run its own. If we run our own, we need to get started now to be ready for the winter schedule. [Some discussion.] T. Smith made a motion to have a vote on whether or not to have a safety seminar. Seconded by H. Heriford. D. Drum called for question after discussion. Disapproved unanimously.
  5. D. Drum setting up new list for crew matching-more info coming soon
  6. D. Drum working with geography students and believes PZ map creation is within reach for us to do ourselves
  7. Various and sundry race reports
  8. Club flight this week doubtful
  9. Club flight 7/3 scheduled in spite of holiday
  10. 7/4 Jeff City event glow only-probably comm balloons only
  11. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
