I Hvve Been Chosen!

Yes, according to the fax i just picked, up Mrs. Nazek of Lebanon (I think that is about halfway to Springfield but she has  apparently confused the Lake of the Ozarks with the Mediterianan)  has chosen me, out of all the possible candidates in the world, to help her to collect the millions of dollars left by her deceased husband in a bank in Europe. And get this! I get like half of it! All I have to do is send $10K US to the bank and they wil forward the rest to my account! What a great opportunity to invest that retirement money that has been collecting 4% interest. I'll invite you all to our new mansion out in New Mexico when they send the money. It will be swell!

And along with this great fortune, Cheri and I, along with about 40 other people, were invited to join the Sutters for the annual Pumpkin Drop once again this year. Always a festive occasion, this was no exception! Not only did many ballooning friends show up to watch the trees whiping in the wind during the tornado watch and ensuing thunderstorm but the Sutters finally made up with their neighbors and invited them too!

Many Exceptionally crafted soups were on the menu including Cheri's Beef Vegatable, chicken and noodle, chili, a several bean and strange veggie soup that came with the Dawn and many other soups, munchies and desserts that will require several days of fasting to remove the calories. Or we could just exercise!...NOT! We are balloonists after all.

Alas, flying was not to be on the menu this year. The forcast had words like 12 gusting to 25 and chance of showers. It didn't say a thing about tornados but if you have a thunderstorm that seems to be a possibility I guess. Maybe next year we will get the chance to assualt the lagoon with the great, soon to be deceased pumpkins. Untill then we still thank all of the soup chefs and especially the Sutters for a wonderful time and great hospitality!
