Fulton Fun Flight

It's time to plan the annual Fulton Fall Flight.  Once 
again, all balloonists, crew and other members of 
HOMBC are invited to Mom & Dad Stack's on Saturday, 
October 19, 2002.  There is a twist this year...

My dad mentioned to a friend that balloons may be 
visiting that date. 
The next thing we knew, we were being asked if the 
balloonists would consider flying over Fulton's new 
City Hall which is being dedicatedthat afternoon.  
Those activities begin at 1pm and go until a little
after 5pm.  

I've explained that 5pm will probably be too early.  
However, if it does work to do a fly over, the 
organizers would be very grateful.  (And we get to let 
my Dad look good :-)  They don't really have a budget 
for this, but did offer free food at 2pm for those who 
were interested.  

Regardless of where and when we fly, the plan is that 
pilot briefing will be held at the 
Stack's "balloonport" at 3:30 p.m.  After the
flight, everyone is invited back for bonfire and 
party.  

We will have grills going and provide all plates, 
utensils, napkins and condiments - including Mom 
Stack's homemade hot-sweet mustard. We will also have 
a large pot of baked beans and hot cider.  Everyone is
asked to bring their own burgers, brats or hot dogs 
and buns, plus a side to share.   

If it absolutely not flyable due to rain, extreme 
wind, or cold, we  will call off the entire event by 
noon by posting a message on the club announce list. 
If the weather is just marginal, we would like to still
have the party whether it's flyable or not.

We will send out further details and directions the 
week of the event. 
In the meantime, preliminary RSVP's are appreciated.
It would be especially helpful if pilots would let us 
know whether they would be willing to try to do a fly-
over should conditions permit.

PS - If you know of members who aren't on the e-mail 
list, please pass the word to them, or let us know who 
they are, so we can call them.
