Sid's condition and his PRV's

Gary,

Sorry to hear about Sid's condition, but as a business owner that is
regulated by a federal agency it is his responsibility to answer questions
regarding the products that he produces and sells to the public. Being a
business owner he should be well aware of a common business practice known
as "service after the sale", and the fact that a business's bottom line or
profit is calculated not just by cost of goods sold, but by the whole cost
associated with the particular business that is conducted. Another words I
don't really care if he is tired of hearing it, he alone could settle the
issues with one little statement made in a public forum or printed and
mailed to the consumers of the products that he manufactures by license from
the FAA.

For you or anyone to assume that Sid has PROBABLY done or said anything is
ludicrous, can Sid not speak or write for himself. If you have the official
documentation signed by the manufacturer's representative then post it to
the club list.

You stated earlier that the Rego valves are certified in Canada but
neglected to say whether they were certified in the U.S. You also stated
that Rego would not sell to aircraft manufacturers because of the liability,
Duh. In that case the owner of the aircraft that installs such a device
would have to assume the responsibility in the event of a Rego valve
failure. Could that be why Balloon works no longer uses that part?

If everyone involved (which I am not, as I don't have any Rego valves) feels
that what they have stated is correct then why the reluctance to air this on
the balloon reflector and trigger some responses from other repair stations
and aircraft mechanics and maybe even get an official response from the
manufacturer that wrote the repair manuals?

I think we have heard enough of the he said she said bullshit.
