Sunday flight
Now, as some of you may recall, I am not batting 1,000 on guessing weather
for long jumps. BUT, if weather underground, the weather channel intelicast
and flight service are right then tomorrow may be a great day to fly to the
southeast.
At 3:pm flight service told me (Sat. that is):
clear - surface winds at 340 at 8 till noon - 3000 340 at 17 - 6000 330 at 27
- 9000 320 at 41 - 12000 310 at 56.
weather underground says surface winds peaking about 3:00 sunday at about 10
0r 12 and dieng down to about 5 by 6:00. sunset is at 6:24. The jet stream is
edging its way down our direction so upper winds may be even faster in the
afternoon.Surface temp about 40.
I'm planning on being at the Balloon Port at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. If any
one would like to join us I hope to launch about 2:15. Dress warm.
