Holiday Family

Due to our low bank balance, members of HOMBC voted Saturday to not donate money from HOMBC for our Christmas Family this year.  Instead, we are hoping that individual members will join forces to support a family of three - four people, or two disabled adults.  

Before I can get a family assignment, I need to know how many people would like to commit donations of cash, checks or gift cards from either Target, the Columbia Mall or Wal-Mart.  (I'm requesting that we not do individual gift items this year.  I will however, accept donations of gently used items once we know the family's needs.)

The Voluntary Action Center requests that we provide enough funding to cover the cost of a holiday meal and one new gift for kids under the age of 18, the elderly or disabled.  

To host a single disabled adult, we need a minimum of $50.
For a family of three, we need a minimum of $150.
A family of four, needs a minimum of $200.
A family of five would be at least $250. 

If you wish to participate, please let me know what amount you are willing to contribute this year and I will sign us up accordingly. 

IMPORTANT:  I need your verbal/written commitment by 4:00 pm,  Wednesday, November 15, 2006.  
I will send donations instructions after that.
