Hello everyone,

Previously the November Heart of Missouri Balloon Club meeting and
Montgolfier Day party were announced for Monday, November 21 at Pizza Hut
at 6:30 p.m. THE DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION HAVE ALL CHANGED! Denis and
Ellen Sutter have generously opened their home again this month to the
ballooning community to host the meeting and party.

We will now meet on Sunday, November 20, at 5:00 p.m. at their home,
12280 Nicole Dr, Hallsville. Generally: take Route B northeast towards
Hallsville, turn left onto Academy, and right onto Nicole, veering left
at the fork. They are the house on the right at the cul-de-sac.

Ellen has volunteered to fix the entree for the potluck dinner and provide
tableware and such but has requested either club funds or small individual
donations to offset the cost (either are entirely reasonable in my view).
Everyone else please bring something to share.

The gift exchange is definitely on and anyone who would like to
participate should bring a moderately-priced item (around $15). If someone
would like to establish rules and act as referee, please email me.
I know that Marta and I picked out our gift months ago in Galena, IL,
so we've been looking forward to this for a while!

Last but certainly not least is the club sponsorship of a Voluntary Action
Center family. I have heard from more than a few of you about your support
for this. Renee has signed us up for a family but I do not have any
details yet. If you are out at a local retailer over the next few days,
please consider picking up a gift card to bring on Sunday. Whether Renee
delivers these directly to the VAC family or uses them to buy gifts the
kids request, they will all go to a very good cause. Thanks!
