Results of the August meeting

David Drum brought his updated map and he, Gary W., Tucker, Denis, DeAnn and anyone else who happened to know anything about Zones on the area proceeded to update it even more. You'll have to look at the minutes to see who all was there. My brain is dead from thinking all day.

We will be having a flight in Sept. No details yet.

Gary Whitby brought up the idea of a possible club initiated event over a fall weekend. Sat. a.m. and p.m. flight , Sunday a.m. flight and  buy your own award brunch. The club could pitch in $250 and each entering pilot could fork over $25 to fly, all of which would be placed into a pot to be awarded to the winner(s). Buy your own propane, find your own room, maybe we could tailgate a couple of times. Fun but real competition. Invite any pilot who wanted to attend (K.C., St Louis, Iowa, etc.)

Once again, details will have to be worked out but we just need to know what you think of the idea. Crew folks, would you be willing to help out some out of towners if they need help? Would any one be willing to put up a pilot/family for a couple of evenings if they couldn't justify a hotel?

Sounds kinda fun to me. What do you think?
