Saturday Plans - April 12

This note is mostly concerning pilots but there is something at the end that the crew needs to note too.

As you may have noted in a couple of other posts, Saturday April 12 is the first HOMBC Pilot/Crew Refresher Course. 4 or 5 pilots have volunteered to bring their balloons to use as demo's for the event, BUT, ALL OF YOU ARE WELCOME TO BRING YOURS ALONG. We are meeting early to allow time for the demos but if the weather permits, we hope to fly from the field afterward. Sunset is 7:42...I think!

Intelicast's 10 day forcast, which I realize is a long range guess, calls for rain to end Sunday night and not return at least till the monday after the Demo. High temps in the mid 70's and partial sunshine. ADDS shows a large low pressure system that hopefully will stay to the north and a slow moving High in the Pacific that may be here by Saturday. It may turn out ok for a flight.

If the winds are too strong we are still going to do the demos at least to the point of pulling out the envelopes and showing  different techniques for bagging. If it rains despite the forcast, we may just go out for dinner!

Now, too all pilots and crew: You have all been working with pilots or crew that did things that concerned you. Some may be safety related, some may be fun related. Please send a note to me or the Exec. Comm. and we will try to gracefully bring it up in the process of the demo. Also, Don't hesitate to mention anything that you think should be covered in the review. Some of you already have sent in notes but the more info we have the better it can be covered.
