And crew since they are hitchikers without you.

Jason Jones is working to put together sanctioned races (as you already knew) but now he has more details and dates. He is planning on doing most of them around Marshal as to make it about halfway from KC to Columbia. Other possibilities would be at KC, Columbia and Pleasant Hill. Most of the dates ae Saturday mornings except for August, Sept. and Oct. which are Sundays.

Dates would be: 3/22, 4/26, 5/17, 6/21, (That is the weekend when Ottumwa happened last year.) 7/19, 8/17, 9/14, 10/19, 11/22, (Is that deer season?) 12/13.

Now, what would be really nice would be if you would look at your calanders and check your sub-conscious to see if you can be at any of these events. That is one every month...along with club flights, getting together with the St. Louis club sometime, other events, and just flying 'cause you can, that may be more than time will allow. If we could get a consensus on at least some of those dates maybe we can re-arrange his schedule somewhat.

In the event of questionable weather we can form a "calling tree" to spread word of cancellation. He says that Parameters should include cancellation if winds are forcast to be 8K on the surface. Pleasant Hill also has the winds at 1k, 2k,etc and it's not too far from Marshall so we should also have a good idea of lower level jets.

Obserevers: We need you! If you would be interested in putting your skills to practice all year long here's your chance. All flights will be in the morning so you will still have all afternoon to put the rest of the puzzle of life together. (Work on the yard, etc.)

Help me! Please contact me as soon as you can and give me some idea if and when you might be able to attend. March the 22nd is only 3 saturdays away and the weather is looking more tempting every day (Except tonight!)
