Family Holiday Adoption through Voluntary Action Center

HOMBC has been assigned a family through the Voluntary Action Center's
Christmas Basket Program.  For the approved club expenditure, we will
be providing items for a family of three.

With the club funds, we will purchase gift certificates for food and at
least one present for each child.

If there are club members who would like to donate individual items,
I have included the profile of our family and their wish list.  If you
plan to donate and item, please let me know what you will be providing
as soon as possible.

I will be dropping off our packages on December 16th, so I need any
donated items delivered to me by Friday, December 13th.  Please make
sure new items are wrapped and have tags that identifies which family
member it is for and the Family ID number which is #958.   (I will be
at David & Marta's Montgolfier Party on Saturday night, so if you are
an early shopper, feel free to bring any items with you then.)

Please note:  The wish list is simply suggested items.  We are not
expected to provide everything on the list.  Some used items such as
household goods are acceptable, but they are not to be wrapped like new
gifts are.

Profile of Family #958

Nora (Mother) is 33 years old.  Personal item wished for was a Bath &
Body Works gift set.

Household items needed include: Cleaning supplies, towels, paper towels,
toilet paper, deodorant, bathroom rugs, a large skillet with lid, a 2
quart sauce pan with lid, cookie sheet and  baking pans.

Helen (13 year old girl).  Requested gift certificate to Columbia Mall
for clothes. (HOMBC will provide) Other wish list items included hair
barrettes, Bath & Body Works items, perfume, books (Babysitters Club
series), and Barbie.

Sandy (10 year old boy).  Requested Star Wars items, Matchbox Cars,
Pokemon collectibles and books.  Also requested Sportswear -  size 12
waist, child's size Medium shirts.
