Hello all. I've just been notified of some information 
released by the FAA that may be very important to 
local balloon owners.

On September 17, 2002 the FAA released an Unapproved 
Parts Notification relating to Pressure Relief Valves 
approved for service by Gene Washburn of G&J Aircraft 
Service in Boonville. It seems the wrong part may have 
been used in some of our balloons. If Gene's name is 
in your logbook, and you've had your Pressure Relief 
Valve replaced it is very important that you read this 
UPN.

I've checked it out, and it's legitimate. The web site 
includes pictures and specs to help you identify the 
wrong part.
