March 11 Meeting

HEART OF MSSOURI BALLOON CLUB MEETING

Monday, March 11
7 p.m.
Columbia United Church of Christ - Fellowship Hall
3201 I-70 Drive Northwest

To get to the church take Stadium Drive north and turn onto I-70 Drive 
Northwest just north of I-70.  When you get to the church, there is a 
sign on the right side of the road.  Go in the glass doors on the lower 
level of the east side of the round part of the building (you'll 
understand when you see it!).

While there will probably be a little business, the main activity of this 
meeting will be to update maps in our flying area - PZs, sensitive areas, 
welcome launch and landing sites - FOR PILOTS AND CREW.  Bring whatever 
maps you have/use and whatever you use to mark them.  We will have ample 
table space!

If inclement weather necessitates the postponement of this meeting, 
announcements will be made on the hombc.org website, as well as on 
Columbia television stations KMIZ and KOMU and radio stations KPLA-FM 
(101.5) and KRES-FM (104.7)

Please bring names/addresses/phone numbers of any firms or individuals 
you wish to recommend as a possible supplier for our club logo items.  If 
you cannot make it to the meeting, get this information to one of the 
executive officers ASAP.  We need sources for both wearables and printed 
materials.

The April 8 meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the terminal building 
at Columbia Regional Airport.  The FAA will present the program about the 
services they provide for ballooning.  More information will be available 
later.  This program will be of interest to both pilots and crew.  (We 
talked about having this program in March, but the FAA could not do it 
until April.)
