Club Mailing List Information

Hello everyone,

I was recently asked about the different mailing lists the club has and
what they are for.  It was suggested that I send an explanation out to
the whole club.  Please forgive me for cluttering up your mailbox.

There are two mailing lists: hombc-announce@hombc.org and hotair@hombc.org
Unfortunately they appear in your mailbox as being from coin.org,
but that is another story entirely.  The addresses given above are the
official ones.

To quote the web site: "hombc-announce@hombc.org is available only to
HoMBC members. It is used by the Executive Committee to communicate club
business to the general membership."  All dues-paid club members with
an email address are subscribed to this list.  Only Executive Committee
members (Barb, Tim, Kathy, and myself) may send messages out through
this list.  The list is just for club announcements, so traffic will be
very light.  If you want to reply to an announcement, it will be directed
to hotair@hombc.org

The second list, hotair@hombc.org, is available to all dues-paid
club members as a discussion area for all ballooning-related topics.
Subscription to the list is optional, but you must be subscribed to it
in order to send messages to it.
