[balloon-makers] introduction
Hello list, I am new to ballooning and consider my self lucky to be
able to get the dam thing back on the ground each time I fly.......or
should I say lucky to get it in the air.......
I have been around balloons since 1982... so I still have a lot to
learn... I fly commercially both balloons and thermal air ships...
the later not very much in the last few years........
I own 7 seven balloons of various sizes and of that 2 are
experimental, an AX1 and AX5. The 5 has a two place seat which Phil
MacNutt calls the rolls royce of chair balloons ( I think he believes
it has to much padding for the derriere) I belive he likes the built
in beverage holders... oh creature comforts are important..
I also belive that the more information that we pass on to our
balloon friends the better off we will be in the long run...
If it were not for my friends I would not have been able to build the
two experimentals that now exist.....
If there are any Canadians thinking of building a balloon, I have
all the information required and would gladly pass it on....
I belive our process for amateur built balloons is very simple as the
last one we built from the thought process to the finished product
and test flight with all paper work completed and approved ( by
transport canada) in our hands took 30 days....
my friends call me
WILD BILL eh!!!
Ottawa on. Canada
